but you should have sub threads for like UFC 22, then another one & so on..
Did anyone see the fights this weekend. I'd love to know who won
I couldn’t agree with you more, I think it’s absolutely appalling that not only did her corner not stop the fight but made her continue when she told them she was done. There were some good fights with good knockouts in the UFC 224. But the one thing that caught my attention the most was the main event. Raquel Pennington, after the 4th round told her corner she was done. That should have been enough for her corner to stop the fight. Instead they pushed her to keep going and give her all.
The thing is that there was no reason for her to continue. Not only was she losing, and losing clearly, she had not shown at any moment of the fight, a possibility of defeating Amanda Nunes. And going into the 5th round she had to either knock her out or submit her, and none of those things were going to happen, Amanda was in great shape and looking amazing. And Raquel was tire and her nose had been broken toward the end of that round, and clearly had nothing left in her tank.
In most sports, keep going after you're done, is not going have any consequences on your health. But in a fight, sure it can, and probably will. She kept fighting as told by her corner and ended up with her nose leaking badly, destroyed. And received a considerable amount of damage (punches) that were totally unnecessary. I couldn't believe it when I heard them telling her to keep going after she clearly said she was done. For a fighter, a great fighter of that caliber, fighting for a belt, to say "I'm done", means that's it, he/she has nothing left in him/her, and her corner should have known better.
the best Brazilian fighters Anderson Silva Lyoto Machida José Aldo the Minotauro Nogueira brother and no doubt
Well, I honestly had no idea who should get the win after the fight ended. Only round clear for me was the last one, which Till won, the other 4 were too close. Wonderboy has to start fighting more aggressive and stop letting the outcome of his fights in the hands of the judges, especially fighting the hometown boy.pff Wonderboy won that fight. That was ridiculous. He does need a shot of testosterone cyponate though. Did he want to make friends or win a fight?
Wondering style is not pro-judges...not the first time it's up to this. A shame, he's a savage....just an overly cautious savage.
You'd be right, that is why it's hard to watch him. So much talent and ability with almost no aggression to go with it. Sad day: (
