Any darts fan?

Used to watch the darts all the time but got bored of it, whispering Sid RIP was really getting on my nerves at the time as he always had his tongue really far up Taylor's hoop lol. Like playing darts too, one of the best Xmas presents I ever got was about 8 years ago when the wife bought me a dart board, it's still on the wall in the bedroom yet.

I watched the final of Bunting vs Norris @ my sis house.

My 10 year old niece kept looking at me as if I was strange when shouting 180 at the top of me voice every time Bunting got it. Was made up he won it as I believe he totally deserved it

Bunting was a deserved winner and was a cracking final. A good darts match is not all about averages.

Was a good final and pleased that Bunting won although at the 3-3 break it could have gone either way.

still think van gerwen, taylor and lewis would kick buntings ass 7-0 in a bdo v pdc champs game......what was buntings average...95 or something....the pdc top guys are getting 105-110

I love to play darts, have a set with me up north that I got for my bday from the wife a couple of years ago although probably will never be used here. Had a dartboard in my basement though before here and would often go and throw a few now and then. Never did play as much as I would have liked, gets boring playing against yourself although often did a right handed vs left handed game now and then .

I enjoy watching it as well but don't see if on very often to know lots of people like you all do. Dam now I wish i could play a game of darts.

5 bullseyes

I don't know the real rules of darts, but once when I was a kid, I hit like 5 or 6 bullseyes in a row. Seems like it happened a few times, because I played so many games in a row. Also used to attempt to get the last dart to embed straight into the middle of the bullseyed darts but couldn't pull it off.

I agree with you for the most part as I think averages are higher on average at PDC and these 3 are the top of the world ATM, but I also think Bunting can play better as he did on BDO WC, he just didn't need to play better and had been not often under real pressure. Think he can be a top10 PDC player tbh if he would give it a try.

The 2013 world championshionship of darts is being shown on tsn here in Canada ,that is what I have been watching ,that's where I saw the John Part match I was referring to in my earlier post.......lol......scorp

yeah bunting should go to the pdc to test himself....i watched both the pdc and bdo championships as i do every year and the quality of the pdc is far superior to the bdo...thought this for quite a few years, and everyone says the same thing....you could be right about bunting being a top 10 guy in the pdc but i think it would take a few years, lots of talent in the pdc now....even taylor is getting challenged now...

over the years when taylor was winning everything, the guys he was beating in the finals would destroy the bdo winner......the qualitys just alot higher...

have to laugh at people who only watch the bdo and think these guys are the best in the world lol....guys like martin adams wouldnt last 2 minutes in the pdc, prob one of the reasons he never went over...knew he wouldnt be able to hack it....will see how bunting does in the grand slam of darts, might get to the quarters this year.....but i think van gerwen is good for a few years, the boy is ridiculous.

Agree on MVG for upcoming years and also love to see how Bunting will do in GSOD, but with Bunting stepping over in the first two years after winning Lakeside won't he lose his winnings(heard BDO players sign a contract)?

Stephen Bunting the BDO Lakeside World Champion makes the switch to the PDC

Stephen who has come all the way through the BDO system from Youth to Men's World Champion tonight informed the Tournament Director Wayne Williams that he will be making the move.

" Stephen said it was the hardest decision I have ever had to make as I love the BDO, my heart says stay but my head says that I must take up the challenge whilst I am at the top of my game I have made this decision for my family."

This is really very nice (think he is exactly the player I miss in Premier league now)

I believe Bunting is one of the players that will make it, but cause the ranking is based on the amount of money generated over 2 years of play (Order of Merit and he probably cant play all televised events this year) It probably will take him 2 years to get a decent ranking.
