Not all players are bluffers. The title pretty much says it all. Does any member of the forum do it or tried? What's your experience/opinion?
Always (when I have value). Can't imagine playing poker without it.
Of course...it's mandatory...if you just check down winning hands, you lose so much...not just that hand, but without the extra chips, you lose future leverage.
I should've specified I guess since we're on mostly poker dedicated forum. My bad guys. Thought it's enough to have in the 'Sports' sub-forum.Not all players are bluffers.
Perhaps a lot are bluffing for value, but they get identified relatively quick. ;-)
Afraid of bet size limit/account closure?I like playing through value betting, but I still don't dare to raise the stakes too high.
So I can just fold my bluff-catchers then?I always value bet the river

Which sports? And have you tried filtering it out somehow (like stats, certain leagues/competitions, etc.)?I’ve tried value betting a few times, mainly in sports markets where the odds were clearly off. It definitely requires discipline and patience, because not every ‘value’ shows results immediately. In the long run though, it can be a solid strategy if you track your bets carefully and stick to proper bankroll management.![]()
