Hall of Fame Pitcher Bob Feller Dies at 92.

"CLEVELAND -- Bob Feller, the Iowa farm boy whose powerful right arm earned him the nickname "Rapid Robert" and made him one of baseball's greatest pitchers during a Hall of Fame career with the Cleveland Indians, has died. He was 92.

"Feller, who won 266 games in 18 seasons -- all with the Indians -- died at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday night of acute leukemia at a hospice, said Bob DiBiasio, the Indians vice president of public relations."

Forget Strasburg, Feller was a phenom back when they actually threw 17 year olds straight into the big leagues. Not to mention he gave up 3 prime years to serve in WWII.

A co-worker of mine, Paul Warburton, just had a book published and one chapter is devoted to Bob Feller. The book is called Signature Seasons: Fifteen Baseball Legends at Their Most Memorable. Paul is a baseball fanatic and it took him 10 years to write the book. The first thing he said to me this morning was "Bob Feller died."
