Canada is by far the favorite but I feel like similar thing happens to them as did in the World Championship. They will rely too much on their star power and will get drowned by resilience of the weaker teams.
I wouldn't say Canada is by far the favorite, it's a very competitive field and I wouldn't be surprised if any of the top 6 teams wins gold. Although if Binnington plays the way he did in the 4 Nations cup, I would have Canada as the favorite but that's a tough ask.

I think Germany has high chance of winning. They are motivated since they are rarely top candidates, but have now NHL Superstars on their roster, it's now or never for them. I think Draisaitl is the type of player whose skills transition well into nation vs nation battles and larger arena.
The problem with Germany is their depth and their 3rd and 4th lines might be a problem, the only way I see Germany making a deep run is if Grubauer stands on his head.

Out of the top candidates I think Finland has the worst chances, Sasha Barkov is injured and lot of players on the roster are the type of players that are good only in specific teams or situations. Synergy is simply not there. I am still gonna vote for them.
I think you're underestimating your Country, I agree that Barkov is a huge loss as I have been saying for years he's the most underrated hockey player in the world because not only is he an offensive threat, he's one of the best defensive forwards and he's an awesome captain that is a big reason his team has won back to back Stanley cups. But Finland still has so many players to rely on and I could totally see Rantanen, Lehkonen or Granlund getting the most points at the Olympics.
Anyways, can't wait for it to start, let's goooooooo
