The midfield apart from Barry was pretty bad against the Algerians. Definitely bring Joe in on the left assuming he's fit, as he brings ball retention and dribbling to the team and really has no fear, and drop Heskey - he just moves and plays like an elephant. I'd have a serious look at Lampard and Rooney in training - they looked absolutely over the top on Friday. If they were up for it, I'd play Rooney and have both Lampard and Gerrard playing off of him when we attack, Barry to anchor the midfield, and tell Lennon/Phillips and Joe Cole to beat their fullbacks. I'd also ease up on the training schedule and look at whatever dietary schedule they're on. Most of them look overtrained and lethargic, e.g Caragher, Terry and Johnson as well as Lampard, so something is definitely wrong there. Then cross my fingers and hope for something completely different from Friday's rubbish.

All this sounds good to me. Got to try something different.

On the bright side, France are in even more disarray than England, and Italy are losing to New Zealand after 20 minutes!

Paraguay looked solid against Slovakia and could be good outsiders, especially as they beat both Brazil & Argentina in qualifying.

1-1, I see the Italians are well schooled in the use of the equity Card.

So true. The team director has apparently quit now

Still very much looking forward to tonight's game. I hope the samba boys can move up a notch in performance.

'One incident occurred shortly before the World Cup. Franck Ribery and Sidney Govou had organised a night out at well known gentleman's club in Paris. Several players, including Gourcuff decided to stay home. When Ribery heard about this he immediately confronted Gourcuff and asked 'does your mother not allow you to go, you homosexual ****''

Lol Ribery grow the **** up. What a douche

Gourcuff > Ribery, or at least will be in a couple of years

The French are a laughing stock. Typical French nonsense.

On the other end of the scale, Brazil looked good - kaka's red card was a joke. Ivory Coast should have had a red earlier for an over-the-top tackle.

Italy are a mystery.

Very interesting though.

The wiinwer of WORLD CUP

I think that the final in this world cup of futbol is betewen Argentina and Holand.....and the winner is A R G E N T I N A !!!!, yes because have one of the most complete teams in this world cup.

See those guys:

Messi
Iguain
Tevez
Di Maria
Palermo....etc

Every player is maybe the best in each team that they play.

Good look to all.

Now we know how the Horns of Jericho worked back in the OT times.

The people there were so annoyed they pulled the city walls down by themselves.

Neighbour had a party last night, people blowing those horns during the Brazil IC game and afterwards. Can't see the point but my guess if it carries on, especially in built up areas, some people are going to lose control.

Last night:

+ve Brazil team play, passing, awesome right back, holding midfield players:)

-ve Kaka's red  at least two over the top challenges:mad: , theatrical dives:( .

...On a side note...I had north korea to condede most goals in the world cup..odds of 11/2...was worried after brazil game, but portugal put me in good stride...and considering theres only been 5 goals scored in the 20 matches so far im feeling good..
i think world cup is starting to heat up now....my preditcions...Brazil and Holland obviously play in quarter finals...if Holland wwin that quarter, Argentina beat holland in final..if brazil beat holland in quarters, Brazil beat argentina in finals...i think my latter prediction is the way to go...
ps
Henry **** us...referee lets him get away with it..France are a joke in the world cup..We beat Algeria 3-0 in a friendly, england draw 0-0 against Algeria...in my opinion, restart the world cup, and put us Irish in it...

Anyone want to place bets on how many North Koreans end up in the labor camps at the end of this one? As the game goes on, they look more and more visibly shaken, and after Ronaldo's goal at the end, the defender looks like, well he knows he is ****ed.

Disappointed with the French - world class players, dumb ass management and attitude. Same sort of trouble as England - egos far exceed abilities. Next time we should just select the Dagenham and Redbridge team - they would have stuffed Algeria, and had a few beers with the fans afterwards.

Depends, if England win 3-0 then USA would finish 2nd. Lots of different permitations but basically if USA win they go through wether it be as 1st or 2nd in the group.
