Very few USA players are really world class, but soccer / football is widely played here in high schools and colleges. It is not an unknown sport.

It is stunning to lose to two little islands with a population of less than 1.5 million! Congratulations to Trinidad & Tobago.

Definitely that is one of the biggest surprises left the last day of eliminations yesterday .... between the teams of USA, Honduras, Panama .... the USA team was the one that had the clearest to qualify yet lost and that left them out of the world ...!

I know this sport is getting stronger in USA year by year. This is very good sport for children to move and run for 45 minutes continously. I think a few years and USA will have a strong soccer team.
