$2 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Turbo: $2 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Turbo: $$2 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Turbo: Was this a mistake?

I am in a 6 person SNG and I am in the final 3. Top two cash out. I am dealt QQ as the BB. I have about 10 BB, the SB has about 15, and the other guy had 20 BB. I raise to 3 BB with my QQ and the SB goes all in. The other guy folds. I call and my opponent shows A(h)5(d). He hits a straight A2345. Did I make the right call? was I sucked out? or should I have folded?

Technically in that situation you can't be faulted for calling with QQ. You were sucked out. The only better way to play that would have been to shove all-in pre rather than raising to 3bb. You have 10bb.. there's little to no chance of you folding anyway post-flop, nor do you want to offer your villains any cheap flop cards.

You absolutely got your money in good with this play, and I do agree the only thing that might have made it better is just shoving pre instead of raising to 3 BBs. With 10 BBs, you are in absolute shove or fold territory, and QQ is 100% always a good candidate for getting your money in preflop. You cant help getting sucked out against A5 in this situation.

I think that you made the right call. What happened is just bad beats. Your opponent really got lucky it the situation.

Hi mate, I agree with some of the other replies. You should have shoved all in pre-flop, the call is definitely not a mistake however, clear call. I think the villain got VERY lucky.
