Is a break of 5 minutes too long or too short?

5 minutes seems good to me, I can usually find more than enough stuff to do during the break.

5 minutes seems perfect to me. any longer and is drags the game out even more, any shorter and not enough time to use the bathroom, grab a drink, smoke a cigg ect.

In my opinion 5 minutes is enough. I know that some sites (I believe 888 gives 6 minutes break every hour).
The tough thing is on global poker they do not synchronize their breaks which is absurd.

What do you recommend to do in the break of 5 minutes between sessions?

Attend the loo brush teeth have shave make cup of tea and do 10 push ups to get the blood pumping sometimes put wash in machine and one in dryer sometimes wash dishes or dry them on break pick the baby up out of cot who has been crying for last 55 mins lol and give him a bottle and change nappy this list can have lot more on it and vary break to break but darn concentrate when the game is on

Those that think 5 minutes is too long might I recommend using the time to drink a 16oz glass of water. I'd bet that an hour later you'll think 5 minutes is perfect!

No way it is long enough. Tournaments on ACR can be way over 12hrs long. How you gonna eat in a 12+hrs tourney with 5 minute breaks? If you know tournaments you are running last 12+hrs you need to throw in a couple longer breaks, at least 1 longer break.
