I have always preferred online over live play because its fast paced! I also prefer online because I can play multiple games at once.. Tell me which you prefer and why!

Live because it pays right there. No withdrawal hassles such as proving who you are or paying a fee to get paid. The convenience of playing online is unmatched, tho. I like the option of listening to whatever music I like without issue or not having to tip for my drinks. Playing in multiple games is also an online plus.

I love to play live as well, it's nice knowing you get the cash when you're done playing. Most sites are extremely complicated to get your withdraw and the fees suck lol

I actually prefer live play over online but I actually play mostly online. The reason is convenience. Once I put the kids down I can get online and play were if I were to play live I would have to miss quality time with my children and they are much more important to me.

I prefer online poker. I just don't have the money for a live tournament.[emoji1] [emoji1]

My tilt and depression won't let me sit down for a live tournament.

I like too much both. Online I am closer of a good bankroll management, but in the last 4 live tournament I have played, I got 2nd, 4th, 6th and 3rd places, (Thanks to gods of decks:adore:) and the prizes are more relevants. I prefer to save my money than hoping to hit a big prize. I got to improve my game since I was happy with my discipline in BRM.

I've played poker live a few times. But emotions are more vivid, of course, from playing live. After all, you are holding in your hands not a computer mouse, but real cards and chips. And the emotions and behavior of people are real.

I love live. It's stressful. It's scary. It can be frustrating, BUT

Competition is way easier
($1/2 is easier than .01/02 imho online)

You can only compete with people who are physically proximate.

And you can make connections--I actually have some business prospects coming from my poker playing. Which is one reason I started--to make connections seeing as I don't like to network in many conventional/more boring ways...

Live tournaments never played, but lately I’ve been thinking about them more and more often. Of course he requires new skills. You need to be able to focus, even if someone looks at you. Follow the mimicry of your opponents and so on.
Poker is an amazing game.

I prefer live you get a better idea of how each player plays, pick up reads on the players and the social aspect makes it more enjoyable.

Live or Online

Both have there advantages. In live games you can get a better read on many players just from watching their habits. pay out is instant, But one has to plan & go out to wherever game is being plays

Online tournaments on the other hand are just a mouse click away.

Both are fun , but have won more playing live.

I really prefer live tournaments because of the personal manner of the tournament compared to online tournaments. I play more tournaments online than I do live because I have to drive an hour away just to play in a live tournament and because of the time issue that I can play online all the time.

The live tournaments are much more fun, but also more exhausting, at least for me. The problem is that there are not many close to home and the have very expensive buy ins. I hope that $ 100 tournaments will be common one day. :D

Still i think i prefer online, because i can play more tables at ones.
But i will do some more live tourney`s when i get the chance.

I much prefer online for the comfort of being able to lay about. I have some back pain and sitting in the same position can be grueling at a live game. When online I can relax and change my position to get in a more comfortable spot.

I prefer to play online poker. Playing on the Internet, I feel more comfortable - here I can make tea or listen to music at any time.

I agree. The only negative for me is not enough time to make decisions. but this is already settled.
although live communication no one is no substitute. but the concentration is greater)

live all the way, you arent suppose to play your cards, you play the player. The art of poker is reading the player/ Live you have so much more info like what they are wearing, are they paying attention when they miss the flop, etc

so often in online poker people are stuck simply playing their hand...
online no one ever folds either, so once again you are stuck waiting for good cards.

Online is cheaper, but so is the game, it's cheapened by the cyber interface, lack of information on opponents...

I like online tournaments more than live because it's not as easy for people to get a read on me online. Don't get me wrong, the social aspect of playing live is also desirable.

Also you can be a lot more comfortable at your home (clothing optional) and you can't pay 50c to be in a tournament live or even free for that matter.

This is why I prefer online to live and it's cheap to play online.
