I also find it beneficial to make a few inexperienced plays early in a game when there are 1 or 2 strong players on the table - it really depends on the table.

Yeah maybe this is worth exploring, if I move to a new poker site or a new limit, where the regs dont know me. Or why not put on the whole show and do all the things, fish are supposed to do, like bying in for a weird amount, posting and using strange lines and bet sizes. And then suddenly without notice return to normal solid play

hardly ever you LIMP, yikes that sacrilege…

first in … you generally RAISE or FOLD only preflop

recently in Doug Polk and SKYs classes i see… preflop Limps!!!
in certain circumstances

It’s like most disciplines, learn the rules before you break them.

Most inexperienced players look at too many flops. It can be boring to fold 10 hands in a row. And confusing when no one else is.

For me, it’s always about stealing the blinds. I ask my self every hand, can I steal he blinds? If not, fold. By definition, a limp can’t steal, since the bb can just check.

Put another way, online games always have a tick box for check/fold. If you are in the hand, you should make that always say fold, and not check. Giving free cards is always bad for business.
