It feels like major poker tournaments keep breaking records lately with bigger prize pools and more players joining events around the world. From large live series to huge online festivals, the numbers seem to keep growing.

Yes — overall, poker tournaments are getting bigger, especially in recent years.


Major series like wsop are breaking records with more players and larger prize pools almost every year.
For example, the WSOP Main Event crossed 10,000+ entries in 2023 and 2024, setting new records.
Even across the full series, total entries and payouts have been increasing year after year.
That said, growth isn’t perfectly linear — some events fluctuate slightly.

But overall trend = more players, bigger fields, bigger money.
