I find that if I fold10 hands in row unless I have jj or better, it helps me to get back on track

If you lose a big part of your stack early in the tournament (like 50–70%), it’s not a big deal just stay patient and wait for good hands. A couple of double-ups can get you back in the game. Well, I meant if you’re tilting after losing your stack.

I also tilt a lot when I lose several games in a row.

When I fold about 10 hands in a row and only play premium hands (AA, KK, QQ, AK), a few things happen:
1. I reduce tilt
I automatically stop getting involved in marginal spots, which lowers the chance of making impulsive decisions.
2. I regain discipline
I go back to playing structured ranges instead of relying on “feel.”
3. I give myself time to read the table
While I’m folding, I observe: who’s aggressive, who’s tight, and who’s bluffing.
But there are also downsides:
I become too predictable (if opponents are paying attention)
I lose EV by passing up good spots (like profitable steals or 3-bets)
It can reinforce a habit of going into a “nit mode” whenever I feel uncomfortable

I never feel like losing to a player with a good hand, but when a player from an early position trades in 27 suits of different stripes, I raise a big raise with AA, and that player goes all-in to get 227. Then tilt is always inevitable, and there are several such giveaways a day.
