Yes, people are more prone to adhereing to pot-odds when it's their actual money in ring games.  (this was the point I was trying to make the first time ;))  You can only lose your buy-in in a tournament and the chips gained/lost on any hand do not directly translate into real money value.

As far as how it would've been played in limit... well, first of all... you wouldn't have been able to raise 10xBB pre-flop, hehe.  I HAVE seen people call down to the river with AK that didn't hit.  However, it's not good play obviously.  I could see calling flop/turn if there's just one bet and lots of calls.. and no draws that would overlap your outs... and you think an overpair would win.  But most of the time with AK, you'll either hit the flop.. get a draw.. or you fold it.
