Hello guys I am frustrated hope someone can give me an advise or assistance to stand up again and find my confidence to play.
I really want to play better and advance level in some point but it’s really hard for me to keep my bankroll for long time. Also don’t have enough time to play and rushing to play couple of hours per day in anxiety and enthusiasm as would like to play more per day . To be more calm and thinking my actions more before to act. Nevertheless I have lost my 700 bankroll twice in 2 months. Now I will need to wait and try to rebuild a decent bankroll to start playing again . How I can keep my bankroll steady for long time . How I can find my confidence again what steps should have done or I have to do to become better? Hope my questions not be stupid and someone passed the same as me and knows better how to dealt with this downswing thanks a lot

This is a red flag.
Better not to play whence you feel anxious & in a rush.
Play only when you are calm & have plenty of spare time so you can be patient & concentrate on the game.

Hey there! Sorry to hear about your bankroll and the frustration you're experiencing. I am no expert in poker, but I had similar experience with losing my bankroll once or twice. For me, it was cash games that did it. Now I play mainly tournaments, where I have more time to think about the hand and progressively ladder up. Also, there is a fixed amount to buy-in, so it's not like in the cash games, where you can lose track of how many times you bought-in because you were tilted and did't think clearly. Now, I have managed to stabilize my bankroll. Take care, be sure to always be in a good mood and well rested before you start playing - I do not recommend to play on the phone and anywhere else but in your home.

First things first, sad to hear that.
Next did you lose that in tournaments or cash games?
For both type of poker games you need to have a bankroll management strategy. This includes for tournaments a proper level up the BuyIn ladder, but also a step down BuyIn rule,

For Cash games the rule starts with about 50 - 60 buy ins for NL2 so about $100, you can Step up to NL4 or NL 5 when you reach about 80 - 100 buy ins for those stakes. You have to g back to NL2 if you reach the 60 buy ins border for NL2. The higher the stakes the higher your bankroll should be. NL 10 perhaps 150 - 175 buy ins. And so on.
Don't start your journey at high levels. These levels are filled with a lot regulars, that play those games for years.
Next is study.
Try to use a tracker, H2N is free with limited function, but good enough for beginners.
But Keep in mind not all online poker rooms allow trackers, you have to check if they are allowed at your poker room.
This trackers helps you to review your played hands, you can learn from all various kinds of plays, yours and your competitors look at the hands of big steady winners, try to imitate their play in situations, adapt to the different types of players. Trackers hove mostly a feature that is called leak tracker, so you can improve your game.
Learn from youtube videos.
And don't think oh I am to good for NL2, what you learn here will help you if you climb up the ladder, competition will get harder (better players) each step upwards.

What stakes were you playing, and was it live or online? If it was online, then you should start at the lowest limit available or at least not higher than 5c/10c games. 700$ is 70 BIs for those games, which is a lot to lose in just a month. So I am guessing, you were not following sound bankroll management, and that this is the first thing, you need to change.

Hello friend, as the others told you, the main thing is to manage your bank roll, there they sent you a table that is perfect to do it, this table will help you a lot, when you lose try to take a rest and then play again. try to start in the line of 50$ or 125$ once you master those levels, you go up in level, I hope I have helped you.
greetings

If you lose your bankroll, and this is not the first time, it means that your bankroll management system simply does not work, or at some point fails. You need to understand what the reason is. I think the reason is lack of discipline. Try to write for yourself strict rules of bankroll management, write them physically, with a pen on a piece of paper, and in the future just follow these rules and do not violate them under any circumstances.

It should be really hard to lose your bankroll.

If you do not have 100 buyins you need to move down.

If you cant move down any more -play freerolls until you are properly rolled again.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

It's pretty easy, just play freerolls like I do, and you'll never lose your bankroll, it takes a while to build up, but on the plus side, you don't invest anything and you only waste time if you don't win anything.

It is also one of my most common mistakes to gamble away my entire bankroll, which i have previously worked hard to earn. It is a question of discipline and self-control. Unfortunately, not everyone can do this or it is very difficult to acquire it if you are not so good at dealing with losses. I always think, well, you can just play one level higher and get the money back. unfortunately, that only works out 1 or 2 times and in most cases I lose everything.

It's a process to learn how to deal with it. A good way is to open a thread here in the forum and share your daily steps with us. this way you have a certain pressure because the community is reading along and you have to be more careful not to embarrass yourself in front of the others.

I've also lost my bankroll a few times, but that was a long time ago. I realized my mistake a long time ago and since then my bankroll has actually only grown. I just realized that discipline should come first, and since then my money is safe :)

You mentioned a very important point. I am convinced that what is difficult in poker is the mental side more than the technical side.

When we start to lose and see our bankroll decrease day after day, we are in an uncomfortable situation, we feel injustice and we want to recover. This feeling is human because we are not robots.

The trick is to recognize this defect and assimilate that the bankroll is intended to cover bad run periods. Otherwise, if the bad rub periods didn't exist, we wouldn't need a bankroll.

First, try to fix on this issue: are you playing because you are addicted or you have nothing better to do? Do you play poker to have more fun or you have some serious objectives?
I have lost my 700 bankroll twice in 2 months.
This is a huge loss. What types of games are you playing and what stakes?

Don’t make more deposits. Stay a couple of times reading and studying yourself and your own behavior. Also study poker and mindset. I would recommend 8 weeks out of the tables! Don’t play anything that involves real money, but in order to have fun and practice, dedicate yourself to freerolls and play money.

I am playing because I enjoy the game and few months ago started to reading more dedicate in order to improve my game
Would like to play more professionally and do a good bankroll in order to go also some events of poker like EPT etc. I have heard the poker mindset audio book is over 7hrs and split in days to finish it and understand it’s really helpful but I realize that I haven’t follow the rules mentioned on that
And now seeing all comments and understood that I was totally tilt and blind and couldn’t focus and fix my mistakes or at least take a break for a while
Types of playing is cash 010/025c but I have played many tables rush and cash where they crushed me big time with rare hands . Every day I had 5,6 bad beats big amounts in gg. So I will take your advise and take a break study , find my confident and improve my mindset and avoid play again rich and cash only cash as I don’t have time t play tournaments . Let’s hope next time I will comment I will established a good bankroll . Thank you all guys for your comments are valuable to me much appreciated

This is great advice for someone who has zero disposable income and is interested in playing 'pretend' poker on play chip tables.

Whatever happened to people who play for leisure and entertainment? Why does a person always need to follow strict BRM. Honestly BRM is basically for professional players or for others who are hoping to never deposit again (but what about deposit bonuses?.. although they rarely exist these days).

$700 is not a HUGE loss. $700 isn't even enough to go to the casino on a weekend to play the cheapest stakes they have there (people do this ALL the time). It cost $700 to stay in a hotel for a long weekend.
Long weekend in Hotel vs. Playing online poker at home for ONE full month (if a person likes to play poker it sounds like they're getting a way better deal vs. just one weekend stay in a hotel).

Go watch a UFC fight - $1,600 for one ticket (for a UFC Fight Night ticket in Vegas). Wow... OP could play 2 full months of poker for that!!! And maybe they win? And maybe they also learn how to improve upon their game.

The majority of this forum is based on thinking of 'handouts'... 'freerolls'.. money gotten for next to nothing from others who are putting up the prizepools. Whatever happened to paying to play poker?
If all players had the mentality of 'only play freerolls until.... ' 'just play play chips', there wouldn't be any poker sites.

$700 twice in 2 months. It is normal for many to lose $700 in one hand. (I've lost 10x this much in one night). I lose $700 on a weekend playing micro/low stakes MTT's. It is normal.
Watch any MTT regular (ones who are playing 40 to 60mtt's/day). It is normal to lose 40 buyins.
Cash game, losing 5 to 10 buyins isn't terrible. Quitting after losing 5 buyins while playing good & under good circumstances is terrible (imo). Quitting after losing a few buyins while still enjoying yourself = terrible (imo)

Don't play for 8 weeks? (does this sound fun for most people?)

(does this sound fun? For a person who has stated they don't have time for tournaments, why would they choose to play freerolls? And for someone who has been playing 25nl cash game, why on earth would they ever consider spending any time on a play chip table? I'm sorry but play chip poker does not equal real poker (imo). It won't help someone get better at playing 25nl (imo))

it happens in poker, downstreaks can go for half a year or more, the main thing is not to tilt, the distance will return, work more on your game, maybe even work with a coach, it won't be superfluous, good luck!!!
