Hello,

I know that many of you already have heard of this, but I have a couple of questions.

First of all, are you comfortable with the automatic shufflers or do you prefer a human dealer shuffling?
But if you had no choice and sat at a table with one, would you check by the dealer's feet to see if anything is attached to the shuffler?
Or would you be too embarrassed to do that?

"Hacking Automatic Shuffler at the Casino"

It wasn't at a casino, this was a (fake) poker home game.

Yes it was, for demonstration purposes. But it also shows that the scheme is doable anywhere there's an automatic shuffler, even in a casino, as long as the machine has a USB port.

Did you watch the whole video?

Well first of all I'm more comfortable with a machine than I would be a random person..., second, this wasn't in a casino....

the guy hooked up his phone to the usb port and ran a program on his phone.... third, if you're ever in a casino and you see

anyone do that please get up and leave, ... no I'm not looking under the table that's a good way to get punched😏👍

You are never really safe in a home game. It amazing that people would play for this amount of cash in these sketchy games, even the cheaters are getting scammed.

I have never liked the thought of the cards disappearing down a rabbit hole to be shuffled, but I tolerated it
Then I went to Pops Poker and they don't use shufflers and the dealers shuffle.
After going to where the dealers shuffle, I prefer that.
The cards stay on the table and don't go down a rabbit hole.

The casinos use the shufflers to speed up the game.
More hands played = more rake= more profit.
From that perspective the shufflers are here to stay, but for me as long as I have the option of going where the dealer shuffles that will be my choice.

I’m there to play cards, not do a security inspection under the table 😄
Shufflers are fine with me. If I start worrying about hidden wires, it’s probably time for a coffee break.

Of course, there are many ways to mitigate this same process in a physical location. But in the digital world, this is very interesting and makes us think that similar cases occur recurrently in the algorithms of some online poker platforms, whose names are best left unmentioned.

Me personally I'm perfectly fine with an automatic shuffler. I almost trust a machine more than a human in this case which is kind of funny.

Yes, it wasn't in a casino, but the guy demonstrated clearly that it could be done in a casino also.

I may not go under the table, but after seeing that video, I might just walk around and see if there's anything hooked at the bottom of the machine, in which case I'd ask the manager what it is or just walk away.

Never liked it either at first, but like you said, I got used to it because it speeds up the game.

What if someone has his/her phone plugged in to the machine claiming that it's "only charging"? Would you get suspicious?

Well, the present topic is about a "physical location" as you call it. The digital world is way more sophisticated.

You can access it via wireless if you can get to the port prior.
The casinos have access to it wirelessly

So you have no problem even if someone plugs their phone to charge in the shuffler's USB port?

Imagine setting the seed
Having the seed set.you know the next 100 hands dealt.
You know when seat 1 gets ac4h that seat 7 has as ks and the flop comes a4j 32.
So when you get a4 you jam and laugh.

Or mabey see a 4 bet to a 5 bet jam and a snap call from 2 opponent players all in to the final table. So I call with JJ against AA and KK ,ICM disasaster spot.but I know a jacks gonna hit.so who cares .after I win I'll never play poker again.mabey my friends will win it the next year
Oooops I don't know how to stfu

Id pull out my phone and use a solver in front of everyone. The manager and every player will be so engaged about that, anything you say would be washed away.

Who pays 30,000 usd for a shuffler?
The same mafia guys run it that killed people in the desert
And it doesn't shuffle it places them in a hand order designation

No man, not to that extent. I played a lot at tables with those shufflers, and it never seemed to be any discrepancy.

When it performs without malicious intent. It's a random hand.
It doesn't shuffle.
It separates all 52 into their own slot
Reads a hand # or seed value or whatever
Then puts them together
No shuffling
