Play to the last, or accept the money you've lost and stop in time. There are people who suffer from gambling addiction and can't stop, losing everything in their quest to win back their losses. What do you think?

Having self-control would be wonderful, but it's not easy. I speak from experience, for some, perhaps myself included, it would be better to stay away honestly.

Yes, I'm one of them! I confess I've lost everything. It hurt a lot but I survived. And that's not the worst thing that's ever happened in my life. I hope I've become stronger, but I'm not sure it won't happen again.

I think people who get to that point enter an endless vicious circle from which they cannot escape unless they seek professional help.

I think such people deserve what they get. If there is no discipline, no patience, then all such a person deserves is constant losses.

It's really hard to hold on when you're a gambler, and no matter what site you visit, there are tons of casino ads with supposedly great and profitable offers.

I hope this never happens again. And if you want to play for money, then play with money that you don't mind losing and that won't affect your financial life.
And there are very few, but there are stories of people who had almost lost everything, but were able to win back their losses with their last money and even double their capital)

Lucky are those players who have relatives who can notice in time and force you to ask for help)But when you're alone and starting to lose everything, such people don't have time to ask for help, because they become depressed and feel useless. Unfortunately, there are many such people.

Yes, I have similar emotions when I place bets and lose. That was earlier. But I've finally learned to control my negative emotions and play according to my bankroll and the betting system I've created for myself. Of course, casino players need to understand their responsibility for their own gaming.

Stopping play is key to winning, the longer you play the more the odds favor you leaving without your money.

I think the hardest part is when people can’t stop and keep chasing their losses — that never leads anywhere good. Accepting a loss and walking away takes discipline, but it’s the healthiest choice in the long run. Gambling should be about fun, not desperation. Knowing your limits is what keeps the game a game.

The best thing to do is to set your own limits right from the start when you are about to play. If you win, that's good, but if you lose to your limit, then stop. Everyone knows this is good, but not everyone can control their emotions and desires and push themselves into trouble.

If it doesn't work, you have to stop, rest, meditate, analyze, and then tomorrow is another day, you can try again. You can't be a profitable player in poker every day. The long-term result is what matters.

Addicts need help without a doubt. The rest of us should have a proper bankroll management even in casino. The blackjack academy introduced quite nice bankroll management advices for blackjack games in season 3.

When discouragement or fatigue hits, I don't stop, I'll even lose all my chips in play.
But when I'm at the beginning of the tournament, I give up and forget about the chips I lost.

Always keep control over your actions, trying to recover a loss by betting on luck can be a bad idea.

Addiction is a consequence of a lack of discipline and self-control. People who are addicted simply need to seek help from specialists. They are unable to help themselves, and this creates problems for them and their loved ones.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to self-control—especially when no one’s watching or when you don’t have family responsibilities holding you back. Sure, there are many factors at play, but ultimately, it’s a personal choice: do you chase losses in hopes of winning back what’s gone, or do you stop, step back, reflect, and actually learn from the mistake? 🤔

Most of us know the right answer... but do we actually follow it? I’ve “learned my lesson” (or so I thought) not to chase losses. And funny enough, whenever I don’t, I usually perform better in the next games—whether it’s a freeroll (where the only thing you lose is time ⏳) or a paid tournament 💰.

Losing in pursuit of gain is an illusion. Gambling addiction is a serious illness, and the only real victory is recognizing the loss and stopping in time.

Time and experience. We have to go through all this. Rethink all the bad things that happened to you and move on with your life. Keep fighting, life is a struggle for survival. Work on your mistakes and try not to fall into the trap again.

I think it's a problem on par with alcoholism. You can only feel sorry for such people. They have no self-control and live with constant problems. Their loved ones suffer because of their addiction, and it's really difficult to cope with.
