My favorite is #3: Listen to bad beat stories, but never tell one; nobody is listening anyway. Poker players are selfish in nature, they have to be. No matter how brutal your story is, other players are just waiting to one up you. Change the subject or be an observer.

This list must be taken with a grain of salt, though, because some of the advice is sure to turn you into a losing player. The most sure way to enjoy poker is to win and some of this advice (like not staring down a player or not wearing sunglasses) is contradictory to what some people do to help them win. The best way to make sure you lose, though, is this one:

13. Drop the hammer, always drop the hammer. There’s no better feeling in poker than taking down a pot with 7-2, the worst starting hand in no-limit Hold ‘em. If you lose, which is likely, at least you’ve announced to the world that you came to party.

2. Smile at the table, tell a joke, chat with other players, enjoy yourself.
This is missing in many games, and poker suffers as a result.

Same here, sometime I should be enjoying myself but I'm not. But what motivates me would be watching the pros play and imagine myself in that seat and winning that prize pool!!

My tip is that if you should ever meet Lady Gaga.... don't poke her face no matter how much she sings Poke Her Face at you.

Seriously though... My tip is that you shouldn't let poker bother you bad beats are a part of the game and tilting needn't be a part of it if you spend time on avoiding it

My best tip I ever learned is:
DON'T crack your GF/future wife's Q's with a A7o, that you chased to river two pair because you " thought she was trying to push you off the hand with nothing- and you two are the only ones in the hand" (side note: I only had pair of sevens till the A came on the river...)

That will help you to have a much more enjoyable poker game (1/2 b&m)
side note: she still holds that one over my head.....

Normally when I play poker for fun but there are times and moments when a tournament with high input lose 7-8 against the same opponent hands and everything you managed to accumulate in 4-5 hours go in a few minutes then it's the moment when not not fun anymore and you come to break the computer but then you realize that's poker and continue trying to keep the game more fun
