[QUOTE="Kasanova King, post: 1414260, member: 59280"] Congrats on your 1000th post! That is also a huge pet peave of mine. About 4 or 5 months ago I was at a casino in San Diego and I was at a relatively average 1-2 table. About 4-5 regs, and the rest were casual players. This one guy in particular was bragging about how he had started off the night earlier with $80 on the table. (Max buy in at that casino was $100 for 1-2) and now he was sitting with about $800 in front of him. He was on a - beyond sick - burner, hitting 1-6 outers every time the money went in. I'd seen him bust about 3 or 4 people out with absolutely donkish calls. He then started to educate the woman sitting next to him (who also was a casual player) about how he would make those calls b/c of pot odds. I kept my mouth shut b/c nothing could have been further from the truth. Eventually, him and I ended up being heads up in a big hand. I had about $200 in front of me, the pot size was about $70 or so on the turn...I had flopped a set and I knew he was drawing on either an open ended straight - or even more likely a gutshot - so I overbet the pot on the turn knowing the nitwit is going to call. River comes his miracle gutshot (which it had ended up being). So he immediately says to the woman next to him, "See, what I was telling you, pot odds." And she was like, "wow, they really work"....and that point I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I tell the lady," Honey, if you listen to that guy you'll be broke in no time." So the guy takes offense and says, "What are you talking about?" And I reply, "If you knew anything about pot odds you would have realized that there wasn't enough money on the table if we were to add everyone's chips up - even the ones that weren't in the hand - to justify that donkish call." So he gives the typical fish response, "Well it worked, didn't it?" lol So we continue to play. At that point I wasn't leaving the table until I personally busted the guy. About 3 hours go by and he had lost about $500 - still had about $400 in front of him. I also had built my stack up to about $400...then finally a monster flop against him, heads up... I was holding AK...flopped the nut broadway straight with 2 hearts on the board....I play it fast b/c I know he's calling....about $400 in the pot by the time the turn hits - another heart....I was holding the Ah, so I figured even if this luckbox hit his flush on the turn I still had enough outs to justify calling a decent sized bet...he bets $100, obviously I call....river hearts.....I push, donk calls and gets stacked....he turns over 78h....I can't help but yell out, "That's pot odds!" The whole table starting laughing and congratulated me as the donk goes balistic, huffing and puffing - got up from his chair ran around totally looking like he was gonna kill himself.....one of the most satisfying moments of my poker career.
