Maybe this will help

Mind is the master that molds and makes. And we are mind, and evermore we take
The tool of thought, and shaping what we will.Bring forth a thousand joys,a thousand ills.
We think in secret, and it comes to pass-Our world is but a looking glass.- James Allen

To Act is the blossom of thought. and joy and suffering are the fruits of thought. If we are truly the designer of our minds, then if we nurture ignorant or evil thoughts, pain will soon follow. If our thoughts are healthy and beneficial, joy is certain to follow like our shadow on a sunny day.:)

I have decided that I finally need to rid myself in 2011 of a horrible habit I have. I get so pissed when I lose, especially on a poorly (fishly) played bad beat, that I can not control my anger and feel the need to make some condescending chat statement. I have never had my chat banned so it is not at a terrible level like many who can not control themselves, but I feel it is better if I somehow control this feeling.

I know it will be hard, because when I do not type anything berating in chat when I lose, I can feel my desire to do so rise in my head and stomach and it tries to force my fingers to the keyboard.

It just has to happen, so goodbye bad statements when I lose. :icon_rend

Good choice, overeacting to bad play is not only makes a player look dumb for doing that but it is also counterproductive. Suckout Percentages are obviously going to be higher when you are playing at a fishy table just do to the amount of increased calls. If they are getting there money in bad and yours good I would be grateful for that because in the long run you will comeout ahead. Dont take losses in the shortrun to heart its just a game and smartplay will always beatout their luck in the long run.

My New Years Resolution are the following:

1) I tripled by bank account in 2010, I want to do that again.

2) Never push "All In" unless I am holding the absolute nuts.

3) Get Better at playing small pairs in different table positions.

4) Play more live events.

I understand the urge to mouth off after a bad beat. I have had a few chat bans in the past...ah hem...

unfortunately, online poker gives too many people the opportunity to be unpleasant and talk trash.

typing crap in the chat box won't change the past

I have learned to do one of 2 things when I have the urge :

1. close the table fast so I don't have the chance to type or see any wise ass responses

2. throw the laptop across the room. lol

good luck to all in the New Year!
