You can be dominated by better and worse(!) Ax, as you saw. When you flop trips with a decent kicker, you are pretty much gonna lose a lot if not all of your stack. You will get a lot of calls from Ax, as well as other hands that will be hard to play against OOP. Always think about position, and if you are UTG, it will mainly be bad, and if the blinds fold it will always be bad..
