I want to play the people who say that poker is easy or a luck game. Luck does play a factor of course but in the long run a skilled player will blow away a player who relies on luck or a "gut" feeling. I love to play. You mentioned the money involved. Almost everyone who is financially responsible has something that they splurge on. Some people spend their blow money on hunting or golf or whatever hobby. I like to play poker. I NEVER play with money that I can't afford to lose. If I can't walk away from the table without it then I don't sit down to start with. It is not the game that gives it a bad name to some. It is the people who are not responsible about how they play and what they play with. Good luck with your paper.
