I raise UTG (w/ AA), folded to BTN, who smooth calls. Both blinds call. The flop is a beautiful rainbow rag flop. I lead... BTN and I go HU to the turn and river, which went runner-runner diamonds, putting 3 diamonds on board. I lead river, as flush can't scare me... she only calls, which makes me an easy winner, right?

WRONG!

She had no pair, no pair outs (as I had her dominated)... only runner-runner diamond outs, which hit perfectly for her.

Again, this isn't about complaining of such horrible luck, but ALL ABOUT THANKING THE POKER GODS THAT SHE EXISTS!!! Always remember, no matter what type of terrible beats you take, that it's because of her, winning consistently is possible. I know this is talked about a lot (in books and forums), but I still hear waaaaay too much complaining about such beats.

Learn to sincerely love those runner-runners... invite them... pray for them.

Soon will always come - soon, she will give it all back!
