I believe I am capable of beating low stakes but the only results I have are deep runs in tournaments and running up my 0 dollar bankroll into close to 1000 dollars (which isn't enough) Despite my motivation and drive to want to play this game I find myself running into many different problems. 1. It's a huge risk financially because I have no way to prove that I am capable of becoming a winning player over the long run. 2. I live in Hawaii where gambling is illegal, so I am forced to move out of state where I have no one to help me. 3. I am not sure if I am capable of managing my bankroll. With my actual 800$ not invested into poker sites I am a complete nit, and don't spend any of it on anything. On the other hand the money I win online I donk away either playing stakes too high ($40 spinners on about $400 bankroll, $1/$2 heads up with $600 bankroll) or blowing some money on table games when I'm ahead. The fact that I can't withdraw the money plays a factor in how I treat this money as well. The spot I am in becomes even trickier because I am a senior in high school preparing to spend a solid amount of money on college for a job I don't want. Despite this being a safe route to take financially, I'll literally be hating life every single day of my "normal" job because I won't be doing the thing I love to do.
