Any tips on note taking when playing sit & goes

Hi poker addicts.
Is there a simplistic way to note taking at the table? What do people do and works best? For example, writing down raise pattens or write down whos A LAG and whos a TAG.
What do people do out there to get ahead of the field?

You can go crazy on note taking - for me it starts with ranging these guys. Especially the typical "Limped AK UTG"

Eventually patterns will emerge and you will see who is smart, who over-values, who is laggy, who bluffs, who is ignoring position, who bets air, etc.

Keep it short and simple, for instance HBL (High Blind Limper) etc.
Moshman has some good tips for it in his sng book.

Agree keep it quick and simple I look for the guy who pre flop raises an unopened pot in late position. Good one to push over the top of.

Develop a code language you can write in to keep it simple. Try to take most of your notes on hands you are not playing yourself, so that when you are playing hands you can focus on laying instead of writing. Eventually i go back and condense the notes once i have a lot and can make general assumptions.

forgive me if this has been asked before, but my question always comes back to how many hands do you need on particular player before you can take effective notes?

I'd think you can actually begin with the first hand assuming there is something done being "noteworthy" ... you start at the beginning and "add" to the compilation of many notes to establish a "trend" of habitual plays under differing circumstances.

I use Notecaddy for HM2, and i bought a package called NotecaddyEdge. It comes with a HUD, badges, custom definitions and their popups are really good. All designed to exploit leaks of your opponents.

At the moment it is only for cash games, But i did see they are working on a SNG package. I just saw in a thread they hope to have it out in a couple weeks. If it is anywhere near the level of the cash game pack, it should be pretty cool.

Can't remember who posted it, but someone came up with a system that looked pretty sick.

Basically you arrange each note by the action so something like:
[P] (pre)
[F] (flop)
[T] (turn)
[R] (river)

and then post what their tendencies were like on each street.
