I've been interested in staking/coaching a few micro players as of late. Been doing a lot of reading on the subject and am itching to get my feet wet. I'd probably like to try things out with a 3-4 players at 2NL at first. I don't really have much spare bankroll to do higher stakes right now but by the end of the month things should change since I don't plan on cashing out as much as I have been ( I just recently became debt free :) ). I'm playing NL25 right now and have a lifetime winrate 2.5pt/100 over a ridiculous amount of hands over 2million. In November of 2011 I ran really bad and tilted a bunch. Some life tilt definitely played a roll so I cashed out a big chunk of my roll and dropped down to NL10. Near the end of the year I cashed out almost my entire roll leaving myself with just $100 to start 2012 to cover some expenses over xmas. I probably should have grinded NL2 mass tabling to quickly roll but decided to play as many tables of NL10 my roll would allow. Once I doubled up on a table I would leave it so that I could open up 2 other tables with full buyins. I remember making about $200 or so in the first 2 days of doing this and before I knew it I was 24 tabling NL10 again. I think that I might have broken a record or something at NL10 that month - too bad PTR missed over half my hands in January though. Here's the graph: Here's a shot of my stats for the month: As you can see, I put in very good volume but I also manage to play quite loose for FR. So far this month I'm NL25 I'm running pretty hot but my stats are now like 24/20 or something. I never was this LAG before Stars switched to weighted contributed. I made these adjustments to my game mostly to get more FPP's since I wanted to maintain supernova status while grinding back up at NL10. This style works extremely well for me because I am able to isolate fish very often and tilt bad regs. I also began starting more tables and playing a lot more HU and shorthanded. A good bulk of my winnings come from 4 handed play. It seems to be a sweet spot for me. I do still prefer to play FR as opposed to 6max though. The regs are just easier to read with their narrower ranges and fish are fish. I think that staking and coaching some motivated players would be a great experience for me as well as the players. I believe I have a lot to offer and it makes me laugh how much a lot of microstakes coaches are charging per hour. I was also one of the players chosen on 2p2 by Stars to visit the Isle of Man back in March. I wasn't elected by 2p2 though. That was the January and April meetings. It was a great opportunity to meet the people that run Stars behind the scenes as well as give feedback on issues where I felt they could improve. I've been jonesing for 2p2 since they went down, but I have to say, CC is really growing on me. I've been reading a lot here and do like the warmer atmosphere.
