Hello Everyone, I have been playing 6 Max Cash NL Ring Games for just over a month but spent a great deal of time studying. (reading books, watching Video's and practicing Theory/Strategy against Artificial Intelligence Bots) I also make sure to focus on advice for the Stakes Level I am playing. Get a HUD like Poker Tracker or Holdem Mgr. I also have NoteCaddy and LeakBuster. Before you start a new Session you should review your hands from the previous Session. LeakBuster not only points out all of your leaks and grades you but gives you point by point Instruction via advice, hand replay and graphs as to what you are doing incorrectly. LeakBuster also helps me with Tilt on tough days. Variance can be a bitch (I am a female saying that, lol) but if "LeakBuster" shows that I still played A- or whatever it helps me not tilt. I still have leaks of course but if I am steadily improving and playing to the best of my growing knowledge then I don't feel so bad. I am in a modest Profit at the moment. But if this helps here is what I do. I have installed , Holdem Mgr. HUD, NoteCaddy, LeakBuster In the Morning I review all of the previous days Sessions and go through all of my "LeakBuster" advice video's. I also will watch Videos that deal specifically with what area I am trying to improve (there are many of them) Due to living in the US my Poker Room choices are limited but I have 2. Bovada America's CardRoom For Bovada I have a HUD that is called the "Bovada Card Catcher" and also the "Bovada Hand Converter" which converts my hands in Poker Stars format for easy import to HM(Holdem Mgr., works with Poker Tracker too) I also will practice with my "Ace Poker Coach" which let's me format all kind of Villain styles at the table to play against. Many times I like to do a "Poker Warm Up" against Bots before I hit the Live Tables. I usually play a two hour Session on BloWvada and then 2 Hours on ACR. I am playing 5-6 days a Week. You need to study, practice, and play a lot of hands. You need to learn how to play the Table and figure out which concepts/strategy that you are learning apply to the situation. Are you in position? Are you out of position? Are you playing against an Aggro Fish? Passive Whale? RegTard? or Solid Player? Check Raise? 3-Bet? etc. There is also the Math and Probability factor! Bet sizing! Pot Odds! Hand Odds! What color underwear do you have on ? (just joking) and that is just the tip of the Iceberg because the list of strategic implications/considerations are huge. Oh, learning to read a HUD and set it up for perhaps the Stake Specific info that you need. Look, I am no expert. Just aspiring to be the best that I can be and have a LONG way to go but I hope that this Post may help other's in their quest at the tables. My goal is to get a Poker Coach in the Future when I have enough hands under my belt. GL at the Tables, Gypsy PS-I am playing the Micro's, 5NL(6-Max Cash) which is a missing Ring of Dante's Inferno and building my Bankroll. I am focusing on just playing one table at a time right now and trying to apply what I am learning. I would rather sit longer at one table playing than multi-tabling. Once I feel more solid in my applications of what I am learning then I will increase tables. I am by no means implying "my way or the highway" but perhaps elements of how I am approaching my studies will help others.
