Cover their expenses (gas), and your trip is virtually free, with what they give you back. BTW, they have the same Greyhounds going from the main Philly station for maybe $22 RT, and they give you $20 back. I get a better deal near me, but nothing you'd care about (and it's for the Trop).
 
At any rate, The Hilton is very old, and is the very furthest hotel on the south end of the strip. Trop is next, a 4 or 5 minute walk north. Then you get Trump & Ballys (forget what order), Caesars, Taj, etc, Showboat. The Showboat on the north end is maybe 1/2 hour walk (a mile and a half?).
 
P.S. Have a fun time!! If it's live poker you're after, you should find some action at the Hilton or Trop, but perhaps more at the Taj and Caesars. The most at the Borgata, but it's not on the strip, and you'll have to take a bus/jitney or cab.
