If you're regularly spending long amounts of time online, it's not so much the shoulder, wrist, and back that I'd focus on.

Instead, I'd focus on diet and general exercise level because the weight gain a person could experience in that situation could be far more damaging than anything else.

That's why I think an adjustable stand up desk is a great thing to have. The desk raises or lowers very easily. It allows a person to work at a PC while standing or sitting, and it's easy to change modes. It's a healthy investment I think.

I'm less worried about those issues and more concerned with my eyesight. My eyesight is going to shit staring at a screen all day.

Good wireless mouse , cloth easy chair or couch ,decent sized screen is what I use seems to work fine.
The mouse works great on the cloth surface wherever my hand is comfortable at the time so it lets me stretch and change position without interrupting play.

The one downside would be if you like to use the dialogue function as access to your keyboard is pretty much lost. Not a problem for me as I rarely comment during play .

Some yoga and mild weightlifting could help build up the muscles and tissues around the joints, and make you feel better overall.

A good chair and maybe a memory foam pad will make a huge difference!
Only other thing I recommend is regular breaks, walk around a little.

I've had a couple of Thai massages lately. The nature of my work has caused my whole body to ache. Legs and back especially. I noticed, when she does my right wrist, its releases a whole heap of tension. I've mentioned thats one of the areas to concentrate on. I should probably tell her its from online poker incase she gets the wrong impression.

Depends on what/where exactly the problem you're experiencing is.

In general you want to be getting up regularly from the computer, stretching, taking breaks, etc.

Aside from that, if it's your mouse hand that's giving you problems you can try out a vertical mouse, which eliminates some of the strain and over-rotation in your wrist compared to a normal mouse. They used to be expensive but they've come down a lot in price, you can find a heap of them on eBay.

Few months before I changed table, then after few weeks I started to feel pain on right side of back (I use mouse with right hand). Foam roller helped a lot. You can also use tennis ball - stand up against the wall, put tennis ball between wall and your back and move yourself up and down where you feel pain. For me it was like miracle, I didnt feel pain after 1-2 minutes :)

Hi !

I would sat to start working out an hour a day would be really good at the beginning.

By working out you not only help your muscles but as well as you mind, and when you get back to poker table/ playing online > You will feel much better and be more concentrated.

Regarding the eye issue > I would say not playing 8 hours a day and little eye training, good sleep and some eye medication should help.

And if you are on hot streak, playing 8-12 hours of good, profitable poker.... just take next day of if possible :)

You body will be thankful

Anyway Good Luck @TAbles !
