The producers decided it wasn't really what they wanted out of him so he started playing every hand for the ratings < I mean is this really so hard to believe with the way networks and the entertainment industry care only about ratings=money >. I mean look at Poker After Dark. Don't tell me none of you thought it was way ackward when Shana asked Jamie to be more entertaining and talkative right at the table. Norman Chad AND Howard Lederer both have said that Jamie played amazing poker at the WSOP. Let's reference Gus Hansen for a second... Everyone thinks he is a maniac from TV, but then why do pro's defend him in interviews for playing a close to perfect mathmatical game? Ok sidetracked.... All I'm saying is give him some time before you step on his name like that. His dad died shortly after he won the WSOP, he's admitted he's nowhere near the level of some pro's and his biggest asset is his potential and natural instincts, and last but not least is the fact he was being sued for 6 million <until you know the story it would be ignorant for you OR me to assume he was right or wrong in that case>. All this and he still has a day job as a producer for now. I'm not trying to represent Jamie here or make him seem better than he is, but none of us REALLY know him or how he plays and I just don't like single sided views. Draw your own conclusions good or bad, but make sure they are informed somewhat at least. One last thing... how does the idea of a guy lucking his way out to the biggest poker tourney give you hope? I personally enjoy poker for the skill aspect and it doesn't give me hope at all to know the skills I have been working so hard to build don't mean anything cause I saw a few suckout hands out of over 5000 hands played. If any of you can win a field of over 8000 people without having to suckout cause you ALWAYS have the best hand... well I consider that very lucky in it's own right.
