With my Total Rewards Visa I'm able to build points plus status without much play at anything other than poker--although I love to socialize and get my "free" drinks at the BlackJack tables. I usually split the trip between the strip and Downtown. This year I was at the Flamingo for 5 nights comped--just had the pay the $170 for resort fee and taxes for the stay. Then I was at the Golden Nugget for 7 nights.

I like to play cash, but I have played about 3-4 tournaments each year. 
Played some cash at the Rio, Aria, Flamingo, Caesars, and Golden Nugget.

I only played one tournament this year (WSOP 2pm Daily Deepstack). Big field (1349) and nice prize pool ($251,000) but was not my day! I had surgery in January so I was only able to do about 4 hours max at the cash games and decided that my touranments would have to wait for next year. Some of us are talking playing the Seniors event next year--even if it falls the weekend of EDC.

Poker was a challenge, but the BlackJack tables were generous this year.

I think next year I will be staying the majority on the strip and only about 5 nights Downtown.
