Another example is someone may not understand the Badbeat Jackpot which I found to be true quite often, they don't understand how it works. But lets say 2 players are in the pot one has AK and another player has JJ and the board is J J A A A if the player with Jacks really thinks the other player has the Ace then he may fold (although unlikey) but if the players say something to the effect of wow if he has a Ace and you have JJ that would win the bad beat jackpot and now make the JJ call.  GRANTED THIS AN EXTREME AND UNLIKELY INSTANCE BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.
 
The other thing is most places require a certain amount to be in the pot in order for it to be valid.
