Bankroll Question...

How much of a bankroll would u reccomend to goto atlantic city and gamble for the weekend at the 1/2 limit and play in 100$ sng's?

any tips on grindin in out over the long run?

Heh, about $5,000 to $9,000 if ur a br nit like me. Or, around 2k if you are willing to have a high ROR (risk of ruin) and can replace it farily easily.

Oh, wait, are you talking about just ONE weekend...?

It's so subjective, can you see that?

I would want 6k for two dollar no limit.

Some questions to ask yourself when you're feeling candid:

What limits do you normally play? How scared is this money? (tell the truth) Have you played much live poker before? In a casino? How much do you play tournaments vs. cash games?

If you are mostly used to playing tourney players then the most important thing I can tell you is to be as patient as possible. It's hard to overdo that in a ring game.

If you are mostly used to playing online then get into a good competitive live game like the WPTAPL in your area. They play tourney style but it will sharpen your live game skills!

it really comes down to a few factors...

1) how long do you plan to stay there... one or two days... a week?

2) plan out exactly how many sng's you want to play, or tourneys... that would help in case you loose and want to buy-in at other events...

3) the ring games $1/$2 limits... are good...

If I was going down there for a weekend trip... I would take $1,000

if for 5 days... $2,500

If allways heard (and from my limited live cash game experience feel) that 1/2$ live ring is like .10/.25$ online
