I came in with a solid raise the table folded down to the grizzled old fella who called. The flop came and a Q hits the board, my eyes light up like a Christmas tree. Also on the flop was a JT. I led off with another strong raise and was called.

My mind was just seeing dollar signs at this point and not even reading the red flags. Had I been paying attention I would have realized that I was running dead at this point. The turn came with a blank and I pushed all in thinking what a poker genius I was. The old fella didn't even blink with his call. He flopped the nuts with AK.

I sat back sipped my drink and was now sober after receiving a serious haircut.

That was a very expensive lesson. Don't drink and play poker.
