Google "wsop cards brand history" and articles pop up from true card geeks who want to tell you all about the cards at WSOP.

"Lee Davy" has an article (May 2016) in which he describes the WSOP (in 2015?) disaster when Modiano (a very good card manufacturer) provided some bad cards for the series and pissed off all the players. I remember Negreanu was particularly peeved.

His article announces that Copag (another good company) has signed a deal with WSOP for multiple years.

It mentions different cards for the Main than other events, and that WSOP Europe uses different cards still.

I remember various companies who had the deal in the past would sell very expensive decks with the logo on them, but I don't know if they were the same as the cards used in the series.

Really, if you can't find enough information from a search, you can probably find a "Card Geek" web board that is to cards what CardsChat is to micro online grinding.

If you want to know about the [I]chips[/I] they use, I could go on all day.
