It is profitable though because you are playing more hands and this means as long as the winrate is not cut by the amount of tables you have (ie if you're 4-tabling as long as you have better than 1/4 of your winrate) then it is profitable. But playing multiple tables at one time does not change the variance, in fact in a certain time frame it DECREASES the variance. Does everyone not agree that over 50,000 hands they're less likely to be down if they're a winning player than over 1,000 hands? Over the only thing that matters though, number of hands, the variance doesn't change. Since the variance doesn't change based on number of hands, the chance of busting does not change (besides the fact that if you play significantly worse you have a higher chance of busting).
