With a 50:1 stake to buy in ratio, I started playing $3 games and that's when I discovered triple up SNGs. I took years, but I increased my buy ins to $7, $15, $25 and finally $50 while always maintaining a 50:1 stake to buy in ratio. Today I have a $15,000 stake which is a 300:1 stake to buy in ratio for my $50 games. I've never come close to losing even an eighth of my stake during bad beat losing streaks. And I've always managed to grind my way back. Progressing the way I did helped me learn and build my expertise in the games. If I had started playing the $15 games with a $750 stake, or $25 games with a $1,250 stake, there's a good chance I would have lost it.
