What I wrote above in my first response is accurate.  You can look it up and check it for yourself if interested.  There are sites that actually record online MTT results, along with Leaderboards for individual players (on monthly basis) AND Country standings.

Currently (as of Feb.1 2019)  Swedish players are currently occupying the top 2 spots.  In the past year there have been times where players from Sweden have occupied as many as 5 positions within the Top10 of worldwide ranked players (quite an accomplishment coming from a country that doesn't have a large population).

Top earners of ALL TIME in online tournament play... 
Currently in the Top 5 there are 3 players from Sweden, 1 from the UK & 1 from Canada (4th spot), all with over $12 million in total 'tracked' cashes (games must have an overall prizepool of at least $10k to be considered in the tracked rankings).

In TODAY's current COUNTRY rankings (updated on a weekly basis), 
#1 is United Kingdom
#2 is  Russian Federation
#3 is  Sweden
#4 is  Canada
#5 is  Brazil

Canada's top player is only 16th in the overall individual standings. Conner Drinan and oddly enough, he's NOT even a Canadian (lol).  He's an American living in Canada while playing poker (he is from Chicago).
Next highest ranked player representing Canada is ranked 40th... & he's actually from Canada! (lol)
