I've been consistantly beating the $5.00 SnG's & have run my bank roll up from $40.00 to $200.00 over the last few days. I tried 25c/50c max buy in $50.00 NL cash game the other day & quickly blew $50.00. I lost half my stack by making a horrible play ( I got QQ UTG & just called hoping someone would raise pre flop nobody did & flop came 3,9,10 & I lost half my stack when someone caught 2 pair ) Seems whenever I play cash games I
1. get horrid cards
2. get horrid flops when I have good cards
3. just play lousy poker
4. never win
It seems to me NL cash games wouldnt be too different from SnG's yet I NEVER EVER win at cash games. I would just play SnG's but I'm going to Vegas in May & want to play poker when I get there but my confidence is totally shot in cash games.
I've since moved up to $10.00 SnG's & have found the going much tougher, in the $5's I has in the money around 80% of the time since I started playing the $10's I've gone..

The 1st 2 10's I played I was kinda on tilt cause I was fresh off blowing $50.00 in the cash game but still I've found these games much harder to crack. I have been on a run off gettnig truley horrible cards & thats certainly not helping but jump from 5-10 it seems there are much less fish & more tight aggressive players ( like me ).
In my 1st 8th place finish I got cripled on my very 1st hand played, I folded literally the 1st 40 hands delt & I limped in with A,4 suited ( hearts ) the flop came Qh, 9h, 4c the 1st to act raised small 2 people called & I doubled his raise, 2 people called & 1 folded. The turn came 3d, both checked to me & I bet half the pot, 1 call & 1 fold. The river comes & its a 7c ( gah no flush ), its checked to me & I raise $400 ( the size of the pot & half my stack ) & he calls & flips over 9c, 10h. How could someone call all the way down to the river with middle pair!?! Did I play this horribly wrong or what?
I crapped out the next hand when someone raised 4xBB pre flop & I re raised all in with JJ & got called with AA.
The 2nd SnG I was so flustered with that bluff that got busted I ended up playing timid & just played horrible poker.
Even the ones I've been in the money I really had to struggle & come from behind to place, in the 5's I'm almost always the chip leader when it gets down to the last 4 or 5.
