This suggests that we are more likely to do stuff and enjoy it if it has instant rewards for example you are more likely to play with mates than revise for your exams. So in context of poker terms i feel that this can be applied by saying people prefer cash games because they find quick, fast satisfaction when they win a pot of money and they get rewarded on the spot when they do this. This means they are getting instant feedback from their actions. However on the other hand when people play SNG and MTT they dont get the rewards say after 2 or 3 hours hard graft. So this may put people of them because people dont want to put in the 2 or 3 hours work for nothing and knocking other players out from a large field.Also its not an instant reward and they have to wait for the payments even though when they do get them they are usually large.
 
So are cash games really more profitable or do people just prefer them because of the instant rewards?
