Personally, I think they have some buttons like this. All of your streaks are not just variance, any poker site, any time, can decide whether you have an upstreak or a downstreak. If you, for example, have not given them rake for a long time, you play only freerolls and withdraw money time after time after time, they could just give you a downsteak for a while. And if you generate rake every day at a poker room, and you give them some profit too by doing this, then you are a "good" player for them, you deserve an upstreak for a week. Maybe it's just my little paranoia. No one has an answer whether online poker is rigged or not. There're tons of threads about this subject, people are always arguing (and seems these holy wars will never stop).
But anyway, as long as I play poker profitable, and I win more than I lose, I gonna play. I don't play offline (there's no live poker game in my town) so I can't compare online and live poker. I have never played offline for real money.
