I'd like it more if they would have bothered to design 2 different inlays (the center design) so each side could have its own.  This way an insert variation could develop, causing many collectors to double the number of chips they picked up, thus earning the Grand Casino 2x the profit.

There aren't that many insert variations out there, and fewer now that the manufacturing process allows the inlay and inserts to not only stay on the same side, but to even prevent any rotation.  The $1 Harrah's Gulf Coast chips are a good example.  They're 2-sided with asymmetrical inserts, but not a single variation exists and all of the inserts are always in the same position.  That is to say that the violet insert is [B][I]always [/I][/B]in the 6 o'clock position and they run violet-yellow-green clockwise around the front side of the chip.

The $1 Saloon #10 in Deadwood, SD, has a true insert variation.  The inserts run blue-orange clockwise on one chip, and orange-blue on the variation.
