Chat sites

I'm wondering if these sites are sponsored by the poker rooms in order to get players to invest in their rooms. Or....is it just a way for players to gain knowledge of the game and improve themselves. It is nice to have a place to vent but do the card rooms put up the money or the chat sites? Anyone know the answer?

i know some sites do like william hill not sure about cardschat,

uhmm if use is a fun way to review or comment , but almost never commented on my game or my letters would be bad, because the important thing is not to give information to your opponents
