Some quick advice is before you sign up too sites research the best deal, for example CC usually has some great freeroll promotions for signing up on some sites. Look up all options for the best deal for you in the long term. No use getting a mega sign up for 1 million % bonus if you are not going to unlock it. Look at the extra games you can get with added value etc.

Depending on what you want to play comes what to read. I picked up a starter book a mindset book and theory book when I first started. I got Gordons green and blue books which are a bit dated in some respects but teaches you some fundimentals, I got them cheap though, some cash game players may have good ideas. I read when I started.

Blue and green book- good to ease into some reading

Phil Shaws sng book- was quite good and had lots of hand history's to work through.

Moshmans sng book- most people recomend it and so will I as a starting point.

Zen and the art of poker- was a enjoyable read about the mind set but Jared Tendlers mindset book is what most read.

Gus Hansens every hand- for fun and to see how he records basically a whole tourney with thought on his plays.

I have read some other books but depends what you wanna play.

Most of all post in threads to get peoples opinions as we have some good players here.
