So i've been running pretty solidly at 25NL for the past few weeks, but the last 2 days my sleep schedule has been out of whack (sleeping way too late and staying up all night.) Last night i played ~1500 hands from 11pm-2am or so an was at just over 4.6 BB/100. I took a break, watched some TV and some videos on stoxpoker, and then when i realized that i still wasn't tired, i decided to get another session going (since i'd been running pretty well.) By this time it was 6:00 AM EST and i was just about the only american on any of my tables. I don't know if it was just a bad run of cards or what, but it seemed like i couldn't win a pot. My bluffs get called down by rags, my monsters run into the nuts and it seems like there is nothing i can do about it. The strange thing is that almost the exact same thing happened the night before (same times and same results.) Of course this is just food for thought... i'm not blaming my losses on others or anything like that. I just thought that it was a strange coincidence. And the idea just came about in my head. It may be due to not taking a big enough break between sessions, or not having a clear head when playing, but i just wanted to know if any other Americans have difficulty adjusting to German/Eastern European styles of play. I've had huge gains during my normal playing times, but huge losses during theirs... So i know 5am-9am on FT is off limits to me for a while. Guess i'll have to find something else to occupy all my time while my insomnia continues.
