Home games I always try to steal late when the blinds are up to avoid chip bleed where I will be simply blinded out. As long as you got a good read on what type of hands you can push that player off of I say be aggressive in the proper position/chip stack and when you finally do have a hand the aggression factor will be in your advantage because sometimes out of spite people will call there entire stack off.
