Hello!

I play since January 2020 and have not yet had time to get tired of poker. But I think that the moment will come when I get tired of poker. I think a month will be enough for a break.)

Take many breaks, some short and some long. Good for the mental health and good to get some perspective also, to look back with some clearer vision and see things that were causing you to play less than your best.

I've kind of been on a little break from poker for a while except occasionally I'll play the cards chat freeroll or another type of free roll cuz I don't feel interested enough to use any of my money lately LOL.. I don't really get fed up with it it's just nice to have a little break although now that we all have to stay home so much I'm sure it will be tempting to play poker a little more:)

I will respond simply and clearly to this thread. Yes, my last break from poker is about 2 years.

taking a break from poker is very healthy as a human. we do really need restructuring our game plan and organizing our mentality from all the playing.

I never pause the game, no reason to skip days, drop out of rhythm ... it's better to play every day for a little while, than pause for two or three weeks ... :):):)

I had a 2 year gap after winning some money, because i had a lot of troił w to solve in my life, but generaly i think for example 2/3 days break from poker sometimes is okey to make a reset on your brain

I did a break over years, because the game wasn't attaching me so much anymore and I was focussed on other (card) games. Now I'm starting to play again a little bit and I'm curious again about my skills and the competition part - especially in SNGs/MTTs

forced pause

good night ladies and gentlemen, in 2016 i was forced to take a 1 year break in poker because of being in a place that didn’t have internet, time passed with incalculable slowness.

Yes it is good to take a break sometimes, especially if you head is not in it.

Although right now during the quarantine, the games are so good, that it is best to take advantage of it if you can.

Breaks in poker

I'm not taking too many breaks in poker, but I think I should start doing it, sometimes I have a bad beat and instead of leaving, I try to come back, sometimes it works out well but sometimes it's just worse and stressful

I have played for 14 years and I seem to be a binge player.. When I first started I played so much.. The first 4 years I was really really into poker... Home games, Bar tournament.. Put the money on the table lets play!! I would only play lower stakes ( Max 50$ buy in until like 7-8 years ago.... stepped up to 1/3 - 2/5 NLH) Have played as high as 5$/10$ in casino and did well the one time I did :)

I go on streaks where poker consumes me and I love the game / am obsessed with it... Then after it loses its appeal and im not as into it I give it a break.. These breaks usually last between 6 months - 2 years.

I enjoy playing the game and also the money I make but if I feel myself becoming robotic or drained from the game... I take a break!
