since mac's are basically commercial unix since os X came out, there aren't really that many boundaries.  this is off topic but there have been times i only had linux or freebsd computers and no windows and whenever i needed to run anything that typically only runs on windows, there was an application called wine that could run a lot of things, with mixed results of course.  there is always a way around anything you think is a roadblock...especially with computers.  don't feel like you're missin out too much though, mac's are sweet.  wish i had one...except they cost twice as much as they should
