I could be getting 10:1 with a flush and I'll let it go. No need to look them up, I know what they have. These are not winning players, but they are far from the biggest losers. Under certain conditions you can do quite well for long periods of time without bluffing. In some of the crazy $1/$2 games I play there's just no need to. The problem is that this type of player has no creativity. It's great to win a pot with the best hand in all the [I]obvious[/I] situations. But there's nothing about that kind of win that sets you apart from anyone else. In the long run, all they're really just swapping chips back and forth with the rest of the player pool. Yes they'll win more from the worst players but they'll lose more to the better players. Of course none of that matters to them because this type of player is not there to win, they're just there to have fun or kill some time. The stereotype is the little old lady showing you pictures of her grand children while waiting for aces, not the young Asian kid with the hoodie and the iPod shuffling his chips. If you want to win consistently in poker you need to find an edge. It's not sufficient to just win all the no brainers. You have to find situations where you can extract value with the worst hand. That means, continuation bets, check raise bluffs, float bluffs, hand reading and profiling. [/QUOTE]
