Does level of play really increase much in higher sit n gos?

iv seen a difference between 6.50's and 27's but they are still very beatable. you can tell the regulars but like i said, beatable

I heard that while increases tournament entry increases the quality, the problem is there are some who have enough money to enter tournaments $ 100 because mom and dad give you the $ $ to play online, and those players are the most we should find a tournament or table .. jaja

I find the level of play absolutely gets better, I found the preflop play to be more aggressive and there seems to be much more continuation betting/bluffing and semi-bluffing.

like wizzim says, there's a formula. most have read or follow the guidelines of Colin Moshman... who's book on SnGs is considered the Bible. As with any game... you play opposite to the way the table plays: loose if they are tight, tight if they are loose. If all the grinders on the table are playing the same way... you should be able to pick up some info and use it to your advantage... hopefully this will give you slightly more of an edge..... and you don't need much to increase your ROI.

It gets harder, I actually played with pro's on the 30$ sit n go's. Got my ass handed to me lol. Guess I was the fish.

$0 to $5 - huge improvement (in general opposition)
$5 to $10 - barely noticeable improvement
$10 to $20 - small improvement
$20 to $50 - huge improvement

I'm speculating beyond that, but I'd guess there would be another huge improvement from $50 to $100 and then after that it would begin to level out somewhat the higher up you go.

Sort of depends on situation, I have been in $11 or $22 sng's where the play was weak and then for the next 5-6 times playing that level, there was fabulous play going on, I've seen the same thing at the $2 level. Bad play one game and the next game you get good players.

From my experience:

3.40 to 5.50 = slightly better players in 5.50, better postflop play

5.50 to 11 = no difference whatsoever. Sometimes in the 11's people get tricky and limp with monsters but thats about it

6.50 turbos = Better players than the 11's, great high-blind and position play.

Haven't played anything other than those yet.

the players at $11 and $24 on FT are pretty solid. the occasional donk, occasional suckout, but generally good, ABC poker. above that, not really sure.
